Jianyang, also known as Tancheng, is located at the southern foot of Wuyishan, with jurisdiction over 8 towns, 3 townships, 2 streets and 190 autonomous villages, with a total land area of 3,383 square kilometers and a total population of 338,000. Jianyang has a long history and culture. Founded in the tenth year of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty in 205 AD. It is one of the earliest ancient cities in Fujian to establish county governance.
