History of Sujiatun Station
The history of Sujiatun Railway Station began at 1903 (the 29th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty). After the Harbin-Dalian railway built by Russia was opened to traffic, railway stations were set up in Sujiatun and Shahe (now Linshengbao). History is called "Dong Qing Railway Nanman Branch Line".

1905, Russian troops set fire to Sujiatun Railway Station. In August of that year, Japan built the Anfeng Railway from Anton (Dandong) to Shenyang on the grounds of military needs. The following year, Japan took over the Nanman Railway from Changchun to Dalian and its affiliated places along the line, formally established Nanman Railway Co., Ltd., and seized the area near Sujiatun Railway Station as the "railway affiliated place".

1944 and 1945, American planes bombed Sujiatun Railway Station twice, forcing the Japanese to surrender.

1998, Shenyang South Railway Station was established next to the former Sujiatun Station. At 65438 on February 25th, Sujiatun Station stopped using and was gradually dismantled. The new Shenyang South Railway Station has become a new landmark in Sujiatun District.

20 10, 10/0 On October 28th, the Ministry of Railways decided to name Shenyang New Passenger Station, an important node of Harbin-Dalian-Shenyang Passenger Dedicated Line, as Shenyang South Station, and the former Shenyang South Station was restored as Sujiatun Station. Since then, Shenyang South Railway Station and Sujiatun Station have become two independent stations.

Origin of Sujiatun Station: Originally, the Middle East Railway passing through Sujiatun was bound for Jinbaotai. At that time, the railway was 40 miles away from Shengjing (Shenyang) for fear that the train would make a big noise and shake the imperial tomb. However, after the Russo-Japanese War, Japan took the opportunity to force China to sign a contract to divert the Middle East railway. Seeing that even Russia was defeated by it, officials in the Qing Dynasty agreed to Japan's request, abandoned the old road and built the railway in the direction of Hunhe Station today, regardless of why the imperial tomb was not built. The Japanese set up a station in Sujiatun today for their own benefit. When I asked, the nearest station was Shuiyazitun. I said in Japanese, "OK! Then set the station as' Shoutun'. " At that time, there were still many people on the railway in China. When writing a stop sign, it was too awkward to say "Shoujiatun", so I transliterated this Japanese pronunciation again and turned it into "Sujiatun".

1907, the Japanese added 35 lines to the station, transformed the wooden station into a brick structure, and built the first and second passenger platforms, freight yard platforms and warehouses. Add the second and third platforms from 19 15 to 193 1. In September, 1932 station north set up Sujiatun organ area (now locomotive depot), and 1935 added four transit freight yard lines, with freight yard platforms 1 and awnings 1 respectively.

1946, after the Kuomintang took over, the station management was extremely chaotic. The station equipment was seriously damaged, the number of station lines was reduced from 98 to 28, and the equipment of mechanized hump marshalling station was dismantled.

1948 165438+ In October, Shenyang was liberated. Under the construction of railway workers from Guangtong to Dali, Sujiatun Station has become one of the railway hubs and marshalling stations of the station network, the largest marshalling station in Northeast China and the transit station of large freight yards in China.

During the period of 1998, Shenyang Railway Sub-bureau rebuilt the old station building, and a modern station rose from the ground and was renamed Shenyang South Station to continue its new mission.
