The story of Princess Wencheng's entry into Tibet took place during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. Zhenguan 14 (640), Emperor Taizong named Li Princess Wencheng, Zhenguan 15 (64 1) married Tubo, and became the queen of Tubo Zanpu (King of Tubo).

Princess Wencheng is a virtuous, knowledgeable and versatile princess, who has made great contributions to the friendship between Tang and Fan dynasties and the economic and cultural development of Tibet.
