The origin of Shenyang is as follows:

The name "Shenyang" was gradually formed in the process of historical development. During the Warring States Period, the State of Yan established Liaodong County, where the famous Qin Kai was stationed. After Qin Shihuang unified China in 22 1 BC, the world was divided into 36 counties, and Shenyang belonged to Liaodong county. During the Western Han Dynasty, Shenyang had a city outline, which was called "the back city". It was renamed "Shenzhou" in the Tang Dynasty. In 19921year, Liao Taizu immigrated here, built a tucheng, and the production developed accordingly. During the Jin Dynasty, Jin Taizu captured Shen Zhou and took "Shen Zhou" as the title.

1296, Tucheng was rebuilt in Yuan Dynasty, and Shenzhou was changed to "Shenyang Road", which belonged to Liaoyang Province. Because Shenyang is located in the north of Shenshui (Hunhe River), according to China's traditional orientation theory, that is, "the mountains are overcast in the north and the water is sunny in the north", it was changed to Shenyang. Since then, the name "Shenyang" has officially appeared in historical materials and has a history of more than 700 years.

1386, the Ming Dynasty renamed "Shenyang Road" as "Shenyang Zhongwei". 1625, the Qing emperor Nurhachi moved the capital from Liaoyang to Shenyang and began to build a palace in Shenyang (now the Forbidden City in Shenyang). 1634, the Qing emperor Taizong renamed Shenyang as "Shengjing". 1644 After the Qing Dynasty moved its capital to Beijing, Shenyang was renamed the capital of Beijing. 1657, the Qing dynasty set up Fengtianfu in Shenyang, also known as "Fengtian".

1923, the Fengtian municipal government was formally established, and the urban organizational system first appeared in Shenyang. 1929, Zhang Xueliang changed "Fengtian City" to "Shenyang City" after "changing the flag in Northeast China". 193 1 year, Japan launched the "September 18th Incident", occupied Shenyang and changed "Shenyang City" to "Fengtian City". 1945, with the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the name of "Shenyang City" was restored to "Fengtian City".

In a word, the name of Shenyang comes from the architecture and name of the ancient city and the geographical location of Shenyang. With the evolution of history, Shenyang has gradually developed into the commercial, cultural and political center of Northeast China, and finally became a big city with modern significance.
