1. As early as the 6th century BC, a statue of Ackell Pioz, the god of medicine, stood in a village in the Peloponnesian Peninsula on the east coast of Argolis Bay in ancient Greece. Almost every day, many patients come here to worship and pray for an early cure of their diseases. To this end, the priests in the temple specially set aside a room to treat these pious patients, and recorded the condition, symptoms and treatment results of each patient one by one, and kept them as personal medical records. This is the earliest medical record in the world. 2. During the reign of Emperor Wen of Han Dynasty, there was a man named Chunyu Kun, who was called "Cang Gong" because he was a small official in charge of the granary when he was young. When he was a child, his family was very poor, and many relatives died prematurely because they were ill and had no money for treatment. This tragic reality inspired Chun Yuyi, who decided to teach himself medicine to save patients' lives. So, after managing the granary, he looked around for prescriptions and good doctors. Before long, he became a knowledgeable doctor who could predict the life and death of patients and had many strange and ancient prescriptions. The earliest medical records in China were initiated by Chunyu Kun.
Chun Yuyi is a careful person. When he treats people, he always writes down the patient's condition and his own diagnosis and treatment methods. At that time, people called this "diagnosis"; Now we call it "medical record".
Sima Qian, a historian of Han Dynasty, recorded 25 pieces of Chunyu Kun Medical Records in Historical Records, which is the earliest ancient medical records we can see now.
