Xiao Taihou and Tong Jiashi, whose real names are Tong (the specific names are not recorded in the history books), originally belonged to Zhenglan Banner of the Han Army. When Kangxi raised the flag into Manchuria Yellow Flag, she changed her name to Tong Jiashi. Born in Chongde for five years, she is the daughter of Tu Lai, the concubine of the emperor shunzhi, and the biological mother of Emperor Kangxi.

Shunzhi ten years (1653) entered the palace as a concubine, and Shunzhi eleven years (1654) gave birth to the third son of Emperor Michelle Ye (Emperor Kangxi). In the eighteenth year of Shunzhi (166 1), the emperor shunzhi died in the first month. After Emperor Kangxi ascended the throne, he and Empress Xiao were both honored as the Empress Dowager of Notre Dame and were awarded the emblem of Empress Dowager Cixi. Kangxi two years (1663), died at the age of 23. He was buried in Xiaoling Mausoleum of Qing Dynasty and became posthumous title, the "Queen of Zhang Xiaokang". Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong posthumously awarded the accumulation. Finally, posthumous title became the filial piety queen, Kang Ci, Zhuang, Hui Wenmu, Jing Chonghe.
