Chuxiong Museum has eight main exhibition halls, namely

Preface Museum, Animal Specimen Museum, Paleontology Museum, Historical Relics Museum, Yi Museum, Chuxiong History Exhibition Hall, Luojiang Art Museum, Pro Exhibition Hall, Film and Television Lecture Hall.

1, Paleontology

The exhibition in this hall is divided into two floors. Downstairs is the first unit-dinosaur world, which displays dinosaur fossils and dinosaur popular science materials mainly unearthed in Chuxiong area. Upstairs is the second unit-rich paleontology, which displays all kinds of paleontological specimens of Cambrian, Permian and Tertiary (late Pliocene) and paleontological specimens and materials unearthed in Yuanmou Basin, Chuxiong.

2. Department of Historical Relics

The historical relics museum is divided into two floors, and the historical relics in Chuxiong Prefecture are displayed in stages according to archaeological history. Downstairs are 1 unit Paleolithic Age and 2 Neolithic Age, while upstairs are 3 units Bronze Age and 4 units of cultural relics from Eastern Han Dynasty to Ming and Qing Dynasties.

3. Yi People's Hall

Unit 3: Yi Bimo Culture Exhibition

4. Animal herbarium

This museum is a popular science education venue specially designed for young students in Chuxiong Museum. There are more than 200 species of wild amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals and fish specimens in our state.

5. Preface Hall

This museum mainly introduces the general situation of Wei Chu and the main contents displayed in the museum.
