A kind of painting. A picture carved or etched on wood, stone, hemp, copper, zinc and other pages with a knife or chemicals. Printmaking has gone through two stages: copying and creation. In the early edition, the painter, engraver and printer cooperated with each other, and the engraver only engraved the edition according to the manuscript, which was called copying printmaking. Later, painting and sculpture were done by a printmaker, who was able to give full play to his artistic creativity. This kind of printmaking is called creating printmaking. China has copied woodcut prints for thousands of years, and his print creation began in 1930s, initiated by Lu Xun, and has made great progress. In the west, in the 6th century/kloc-A.D., Diu Lei copied ink painting with copperplate and woodcut. /kloc-In the 0/7th century, Rembrandt developed copperplate prints from engraving to etching, and entered the stage of print creation. Woodblock prints entered the stage of print creation in the19th century.
