The name of Xiaoyi Town can be traced back to the Eastern Han Dynasty: a place in Xiaobei Village was called Zaoyuan in ancient times. Three brothers Tian lived in the village. According to their father's last words, the two brothers want Qi Xin to work together to revitalize the family business and cannot be separated. After his father died, my sister-in-law disagreed and had to split up and prepare to cut a bauhinia tree in the hospital into three pieces. The tree was burnt when it smelled. The three brothers cried around the tree and decided not to part. Bauhinia rose from the dead. According to his father's last words, later generations took the three brothers as "filial piety" and the brothers fell in love as "righteousness" and named them filial piety. It supports the existing stone tablets, plaques and couplets. Later, it was called Xiaoyi Post in Sui Dynasty, Xiaoyi Township in Tang Dynasty, Xiaoyi Fort in Song Dynasty and Xiaoyi Town in Qing Dynasty and Republic of China. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), Xiaoyi Town Government was established. After the cooperation, it was called Xiaoyi Commune, renamed Chengguan Town 1982 in April and Xiaoyi Town 1986 in April. He was awarded the honorary title of "Star of Villages and Towns in China" twice by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and was ranked among the "Top 100 Villages and Towns in China" and "Top 30 Villages and Towns in Zhengzhou" for many times.
