Who is Mrs. She Xiang?
Mrs. Shexiang, a famous Yi woman, was born in the late Yuan Dynasty to the 21st year of Zheng Zheng (A.D. 136 1), and was a Yi chieftain in southern Sichuan (now Xuyong, Sichuan). In the eighth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1375), at the age of 14, she married Long Zan Ai Cui, Xuanwei's ambassador to Guizhou. In the 14th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (138 1), Ai Cui died of illness. Because her son was young, She Xiang attacked her husband Ai Cui as the ambassador to Guizhou. In the 29th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1396), Mrs. She Xiang died from overwork. Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder of Ming Dynasty, named Shexiang as "Mrs. Shunde of Daming", and "the imperial court sent envoys to sacrifice her", and an imperial envoy chose a place to be buried in the big house at the foot of Yunlong Mountain in the north of the city.
