1847 (twenty-seven years of Qing Daoguang), the predecessor academy of Wenling Middle School was founded in Hengfeng, with Jin as a student and Zhao Peixun as a tribute, and Dong Qi became the first mountain leader.

1902 (twenty-eight years of Guangxu in Qing dynasty), Wenzong College was changed into a private Wenzong higher primary school.

19 12 (the first year of the Republic of China), Wenzong Senior High School was changed to Wenzong Senior High School.

1928 1 (in the 17th year of the Republic of China), Wenzong Senior Primary School was transformed into a junior high school in the northwest of Wenling County, with Xiao Wei as the principal.

May 1928, 1 1 was changed to Li Zongwen junior high school in Wenling county, and the date was set as the anniversary of the school.

1July, 935, moved to the city school hall (now Fangcheng primary school).

In September, 1936 was renamed as Wenling County Junior High School with the approval of the Provincial Department of Education.

During the period of 1938 and the following years, Wenling City was repeatedly attacked by Japanese planes. During the day, the school moved to Huashan, outside the south gate, and stayed in the city at night.

194 1, the school enrolled senior high school classes for the first time. 1942 moved to Huashan new site and was renamed Wenling County Middle School with the approval of the Provincial Department of Education.

1949 10, the school moved to Daming and merged with Shi Wen. The school name is still Wenling County Middle School.

195 1 February, the normal department was revoked, the original teachers and students were merged into Taizhou Normal University, and Jane teachers and students were inserted into our junior high school.

1August, 956, the school was renamed as No.1 Middle School in Wenling County, Zhejiang Province. This year, there were 322 students in 8 classes in senior high school and 435 students in 9 classes in junior high school.

1959 The school was renamed as Wenling Middle School in Zhejiang Province, which has been in use ever since.

1966, the school was designated as a middle school affiliated to Zhejiang University, and it was revoked the following year.

1978 school is listed as a regional key middle school.

198 1 may, listed as a provincial key middle school. 1987, stop enrolling junior high school and become a senior middle school.

1March 1997, approved by the provincial education commission, became a first-class key middle school in Zhejiang province.

200 1, the middle school of Wenling No.2 Middle School was merged into Wenling Middle School, and Wenzhong Experimental Junior High School was established. On March 28th, 2003, Wenzhou Chinese Bilingual School was established in cooperation with Taizhou Everbright Foreign Language School.
