When were fireworks invented?
Fireworks were invented by Li Yi, a Taoist priest in the Tang Dynasty in China.

Tang Wude was born in Mashi Village (Liling City) at the junction of Liuyang, Hunan, Liling, Jiangxi and Shangli on April 18th (AD 62 1). According to legend, disasters continued year after year and plagues prevailed. Li Yi filled a small bamboo tube with nitrate, lit it, and dispersed the miasma in Shan Lan with smoke, thus reducing the epidemic of plague, and firecrackers soon became popular.

Therefore, Yi Lee was regarded as the founder of fireworks by the fireworks industry. At present, as the main producing areas of fireworks, Liuyang and Liling in Hunan, Shangli and Wanzai in Jiangxi have paid homage. Lifan Square is a landmark in many places, and Liuyang Fireworks Festival is world-famous. Liling is the first city with Liyi ancestral hall.

Extended data:

Discharge hazard

1. The noise pollution is serious, which has an impact on both cities and villages.

2. Generally, fireworks will release more air pollutants, such as SO2, NO, NO2 and dust, which will cause environmental problems such as acid rain. It is understood that setting off fireworks will produce gases such as sulfur dioxide, nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide, and it is an invisible killer.

3. Fireworks and firecrackers not only bring embarrassment to urban sanitation, but also bring security risks. Because many people set off firecrackers everywhere, they had to be cleaned up by sanitation workers the next day. Once the flame is not extinguished, under the condition of long-term drought in the northern region, it is easy to ignite dry trees and grass and cause fires.
