(3) 1850, Hani founded the magazine Red Republic to publicize the establishment of a democratic republic and take a distinct proletarian revolutionary stand. Some of his remarks aroused the fear of the authorities and decided to persecute Hani under the pretext of tracing stamp duty. The magazine was renamed Friends of the People and continued to be published until April 1852.

The purpose is to have an influential chartist newspaper to guide the working class to continue their struggle and restore the nationwide chartist movement at the low tide of the revolution. It inherited the fine tradition of sending messages to the people, defended the interests of the working class, publicized the main tasks, basic principles and scientific socialist theory stipulated in the new program, explored the road of social liberation of the working class, and advocated the comprehensive restoration of the Charter Movement. 1856, Jones approached the bourgeois radicals, and People's Daily was transferred to the bourgeois industrialists. At the same time, the British constitutional movement also withdrew from the historical stage.
