There is a stone pillar on the right side of Tianmen Cave, which looks like an old man leaning against a cliff. This is the incarnation stone of Master Guigu. Legend has it that when the Eight Immortals traveled in Tianmen Mountain, they felt that the Tianmen Cave was full of aura of heaven and earth, and there were no big people here, so they decided to seal it up. Everyone showed their magical powers and joined forces to push a big stone into the Tianmen Cave. Seeing the big stone drifting leisurely into the cave, it was about to close when it suddenly stopped in mid-air. No matter how hard they try, the stone won't move. Everyone was surprised, but the boulder soared and fell straight to the foot of the mountain. When the Eight Immortals looked at Tianmen Cave, they saw the Guru in Guigu smiling and stroking his beard. At this time, Master Guigu spoke: "Dear fairy friends, have you ever seen such a grounded place? On this day, the door is pulled out by the day, and yin and yang are harmonious. Keep a wonderful portal for heaven and earth, and the fairy wind will stir and benefit people's livelihood. Wouldn't it be against God to block the door of heaven and earth? " The Eight Immortals suddenly realized and gave up the idea.
But Master Guigu was even more cautious, fearing that other immortals would move the same thoughts as the Eight Immortals when they swam here, so they took off their skills and turned them into stones, guarding the Tianmen Cave forever.
Footprints of Fairy Peak
Fairy Peak is the incarnation of the seven fairies in the local legend. At the foot of Tianmen Mountain, there is a village with a long history called dongjiacun, which is the hometown of Yong Dong in The Fairy Couple. Yong Dong, who is filial and kind, touched the seven fairies in the sky. They got married and were soon separated by the cruel jade emperor. Everyone knows this story, but the seven fairies, who are sentient and righteous, returned to the Heavenly Palace, but quietly left their incarnation on earth and became the immortal peak that accompanied Yong Dong and blessed dongjiacun.
Legend has it that a long time ago, one day, Xuanwu's grandfather was in high spirits and went to Qixing Mountain to play chess with other bodhisattvas. The game was fierce that day, and there was no winner for a long time. Grandpa looks worried, and it's getting dark. Why haven't you got a result yet? They set the rule of "the winner goes up, the loser goes down" in chess, until everyone present has played a game of chess, and the winner of the last game of chess is the real winner. It happened that the last game of chess that day was played by my grandfather and another bodhisattva, and my grandfather was also good at playing chess. The so-called diamond cut diamond, fighting is inseparable! The other bodhisattvas who were watching the program saw that it was dark and all left, so they couldn't say anything more. Come back tomorrow. Grandfather just won't give up, and this chess game has almost become a classic endgame. Just then, the little boy playing chess with the Bodhisattva came to ask the Bodhisattva to go back and said it was urgent. The bodhisattva wants to go, but the grandfather refuses to go. Helpless, the Bodhisattva shook his sleeve and said, "If you don't want to admit that this is a draw, then you will win." I really have something to do. I have to go anyway. "Say, get up and go. Grandfather didn't finish the last game of chess, so he didn't win, so he felt very depressed. Think about it. Take a walk in Tianmen Mountain.
After thinking about his ancestors, he walked towards Tianmen Mountain while still thinking about those messy things. He went up the mountain from the southern foot of Tianmen Mountain, and he had to pass a place called Mazongling on his way. There is a wide canyon in the middle of that place, and most pedestrians make a detour. Because they have been thinking about the chess game, grandpa went to Taniguchi and didn't pay attention. Suddenly, he felt as if he was dangling, and waves of evil winds came at him, which made him feel chilly and made him suddenly have an epiphany. Because he was full of sulks and had nowhere to vent, he took advantage of the situation and made a hard leap forward. Grandpa jumps badly and his strength is not small. Finally, he landed heavily on a stone slab about four square meters on the ridge of the field, when the earth was shaking. Legend has it that granddaddy is a big man with a huge figure and a surprisingly big foot plate. As a result, a pair of big footprints several centimeters deep, about one meter long and about fifty centimeters wide were left on the slate. Because of this legend, people call it the footprint of ancestor rock.
Tianmen Yuxian
It is recorded in the local chronicles of Yongding County, Guangxu in Qing Dynasty. One day long ago, a child was playing at the mouth of Tianmen cave. When he was tired of playing, he lay down and rested against the stone wall of the cave. Suddenly, he felt that he was lifted by a cloud, slowly rose to a place, and suddenly stopped. I saw an old man with a white beard sorting out the chess game. It's not surprising to see him. He picked up a piece of white jade and put it in his hand, then waved to him. He suddenly returned to the place where he had just been lying. If it weren't for the chess piece, it would really be in your hand, crystal clear, leaving a residual temperature, as if nothing had happened. The child took this chess piece home, only to find that he had not come out to play with him for three days. The child's name is Yi Jiade, and everyone calls him Yun Tong. Later, when he was older, he went to the mountains to learn magic. When he finished his studies, he came down from the mountain and became very good. He gets drunk almost every day. Sometimes when he strolls in the street, he will meet some people who occasionally ask about personal privacy and disaster luck, but he usually doesn't say much. And once you speak, every word is right and extremely accurate. Everyone who met him exclaimed that he was a fairy, and then he disappeared. No one knows whether he traveled around the world or lived in seclusion in Shan Ye, or whether he really became a fairy.
Qin Shihuang drives mountains and fills the sea.
There are forty-eight Matou Mountains in the south of Tianmen, Shandong. According to legend, it was the incarnation of forty-eight horses under Qin Shihuang's seat when he rushed to fill the sea. Legend has it that when Qin Shihuang was in power, he had been to Sichuan, which is now Sichuan. When he saw a large mountain range, he suddenly had a whim: "If I divide some mountains here and fill up the East China Sea, won't my territory be expanded again?" So, Qin Shihuang wielded a whip, split Emei Mountain in half from Jinding, and then drove the mountain along the Shu Road to the East China Sea. At that time, our Zhangjiajie area was still a plain. Qin Shihuang came here from the mountains and felt a little tired, so he stopped to take a nap. Because his action of rushing up the mountain is too loud, the Dragon Lady in the East China Sea has long been disturbed. Of course, the dragon lady refused to let him rush to the mountains and fill the sea, grab his own territory, watch him sleep, and took the opportunity to steal the magic whip. Without the whip, the mountain can't catch up naturally, so this mountain from Sichuan will stay here for a long time and become Wuling Mountain Range. The semi-golden dome that was split at the beginning became our cloud dream fairy dome today.
