The Civil War began when Confederate general P G T Bo Regard opened fire on Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina.

Fort Sumter is a stone fortification located in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina, USA. It was built in 1827 and named after General Thomas Sumte, the hero of the American Revolutionary War.

1861April 12, Fort Sumter was shelled by the South Army, which was known as the Battle of Fort Sumter. Subsequently, US President abraham lincoln declared war on the South and the civil war broke out.

1On May 26th, 865, the Confederate army completely surrendered and the war ended.
