Oncomelania generally refers to molluscs of Oncomelania, belonging to Gastropoda Oncomelania. River snails are distributed in most parts of the country. You can catch it in summer and autumn. China snails and China snails are common in fresh water.
Snails are mollusks. The body is divided into three parts: head, feet and visceral sac. There are sensory organs such as mouth, eyes and tentacles on the head. There is a shell outside the body. The foot of the snail is muscular and located on the ventral surface of the body. The diaphragm tightly attached to the sole of the foot is called squat, just like a round cover. When something goes wrong or needs a rest, the snail will shrink its body in the shell, and through the contraction of its foot muscles, it will tightly wrap the shell and squat down. Snails are edible, and the edible part is mainly its fleshy foot. River snails are distributed in most parts of the country. You can catch it in summer and autumn. China snails and China snails are common in fresh water.
Snails generally grow in ponds. If the water quality is not good, they are easily polluted, especially when they are eaten. If the feces of snails are not completely discharged, there are many parasites in the body, such as hammerhead worms, which are the hosts of schistosomiasis. Therefore, it is best to buy snails or snails when eating. Snails in the pond should eat less. After buying it, put clear water in the bucket to raise snails for a few days, and change the water once a day to let snails excrete feces. When boiling snails, they should be cooked thoroughly to kill parasites. It is best not to eat roasted conch, because if it is not cooked, it will easily infect liver fluke disease.
Snails are dioecious.
The method of sex identification of snails is mainly based on the shape of their right antenna. The right antenna of the male snail bends inward to the right (the bent part is the male genitalia). In addition, the female snail is big and round, and the male snail is small and long. Oncomelania hupehensis is an oviparous animal, and its reproduction mode is unique. The embryonic development and larval development of Oncomelania hupensis are completed in the mother body. It takes about a year for a fertilized egg to give birth to a small snail. Oncomelania hupensis lays eggs in batches and begins to breed in March-April every year. At the same time of producing young snails, the male and female parents mate and fertilize, and at the same time, the young snails to be produced in the next year are propagated in the mother. A mother snail can produce about 100 ~ 150 young snails every year.
