It is very hot in summer in Hangzhou. Hangzhou is famous for its heat in summer. In dog days, the temperature can be as high as 40 degrees Celsius or above, and even a historic high temperature record will appear. Hangzhou, formerly known as Lin 'an and Qiantang, is the capital and sub-provincial city of Zhejiang Province. It is located in the southeast coast of China, the north of Zhejiang Province, the lower reaches of Qiantang River and the southern end of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. It is the political, economic, cultural, educational, transportation and financial center of Zhejiang Province. Hangzhou has a history of more than 2,200 years since Qin established the county, and the capital of Wu Yue State in the Southern Song Dynasty in the Five Dynasties is located here. It is one of the first national historical and cultural cities, and is known as the "Southeast Famous County". Liangzhu culture more than 5,000 years ago is called "the dawn of Chinese civilization", and the excavation of the site across the lake bridge shows that humans lived here more than 8,000 years ago.
