The Olympic Games, or Olympic Games, is an international multi-sport event held every four years. Originally held in ancient Greece, it was revived by French aristocrat Pierre Freddy and Baron Coubertin in the late19th century. The Olympic Games, better known as the Summer Olympics, have been held every four years since 1896, except during the world war.

Before1970s, the Olympic Games was only for amateurs, but in1980s, many events were open to professional athletes. At present, the Olympic Games are open to everyone, even the top professional athletes in basketball and football. The ancient Olympic Games included several sports, and now it is part of the Summer Olympic Games, sometimes including as many as 32 different sports. In 1924, the Winter Games was approved as a winter sport. The Olympic Games has been considered as the most important sports competition in the world.
