Zhejiang Daily News After more than 300 years of wind and rain and three relocations, the only large-scale physical cultural relic in Jiaxing's historical landmark "Seven Pagodas and Eight Temples"-really like a pagoda-finally settled in Jiaxing Museum.
Zhenru Pagoda rebuilt in Shunzhi period of Qing Dynasty is one of the famous landmark buildings in Jiaxing history, and its tower body is an important symbol of Zhenru Pagoda. 1959 due to the serious inclination of the tower gate, it was removed and placed elsewhere. As a result, Zhenru Tasha was moved three times: first, it was placed in Ziyang Street Tuberculosis Prevention and Treatment Institute, then it was moved to an area in the east of People's Park, and then it was placed on the dirt mountain of People's Park.
After living in the wind and rain for more than 300 years, it is true that Tasha was rusted all over, but it is also true that Tasha was damaged by many people after being removed from the tower and put on the ground. The pagoda is covered with the words "come here". Last year, in June+10, 5438, Jiaxing Museum was finally "moved home" as a pagoda after consultation with relevant departments.
According to reports, after Zhenru Tasha was transported to the museum, experts from the Provincial Institute of Chemical Technology began to carry out protective restoration. In order to better show the original appearance of the pagoda, the pagoda is divided into two layers, inner and outer, and protected by different methods. The original protection technology of the institute will change the color of the object, so it is only used inside the tower gate; The external transparent protective coating material is specially developed by the Institute of Chemical Engineering to protect Zhenru Tasha. "Old and new protection technologies, one with a long protection period and one that can show the original appearance of the object, we each learn from each other's strengths." The relevant person in charge of the museum said.
It is as high as Tasha 12 meters and weighs about 15 tons. This weight requires a very solid bearing foundation. In order to make the tower gate stable after installation, Jiaxing Museum specially built a new concrete foundation in the central hall and strengthened the girders. In the construction process, because there are tiny cracks on the main girder, in order to confirm the reliability of the main girder, engineers specially carried out compressive tests, tested with 24 tons of ballast and monitored with various instruments.
The finished pedestal consists of 100 pieces of blue bricks. These bricks are all original as real as tower bricks, and many tower bricks are engraved with the words "as real as tower bricks" and "donate 100 bricks", which are clearly identifiable.
Next month, people will be able to see the real contents of the pagoda in Jiaxing Museum.
