Zhujiajiao ancient town has a history of about 1000 years. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Zhujiajiao Town formed a small market town named Zhujiacun. In the 29th year of Yuan Dynasty (1292), it belonged to Huating County, Shanghai County and Kunshan County. In the twenty-first year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1542), it belonged to Qingpu County and Kunshan County. In the forty years of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (16 12), Zhujiajiao became a big town because of its convenient waterway transportation and prosperous business. In February of the 37th year of the Republic of China (1948), villages and towns merged, and there were two districts in the county, namely Dong Qing (Qinglong) and Qingxi (Dianmao). Zhuxi Town, Anzhuang and Fuwo Township all belonged to Qingxi District. In 2000, in the adjustment of administrative divisions in Qingpu District, it merged with Shenxiang Town to form a new town-Zhujiajiao Central Town, which is currently the largest market town in Shanghai.
The temperature in Zhujiajiao is almost the same as that in Shanghai. It belongs to the northern subtropical monsoon climate zone and is a typical maritime climate. Four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, long frost-free period and abundant sunshine. The average temperature is 15.5 degrees Celsius, the annual frost-free period is about 235 days, the annual sunshine is about 137 days, and the annual precipitation is about 1 100 mm.
By 20 14, Zhujiajiao Town had 20,787 households with a total registered population of 59,759, including 29,387 males and 30,372 females. Among the registered population, the elderly over 60 16558, and the agricultural population 17988, accounting for 30%. At the end of the year, there were 49,038 floating population in Shanghai. ?
