It is a basic service post. I hope that the rural teacher program is jointly sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Guangdong Youth Development Foundation and the Guangdong Volunteers Federation. It is a special volunteer service for college students in mountainous areas of Guangdong Province.

The project is implemented by Guangdong Ledao Public Welfare Education Promotion Association and other institutions, aiming at organizing outstanding young volunteers to carry out teaching 1~3 years volunteer service projects in rural schools in eastern Guangdong, western Guangdong and northern Guangdong.

The project provides living allowance of 2,300 yuan per month, social security of about 1.400 yuan, transportation allowance of 1.000 yuan per year, business insurance of 350 yuan every year, free physical examination and pre-job training. According to local conditions, the school provides at least 500 yuan subsidy every month.

Project background

Since the reform and opening up, Guangdong's economy and society have advanced by leaps and bounds, and various modernization undertakings have made remarkable achievements. At the same time, influenced by geography and other factors, the development speed of the eastern and western wings and northern mountainous areas of our province is not fast compared with that of the Pearl River Delta region, and the imbalance of regional development is becoming increasingly prominent.

To this end, encouraging college graduates to start businesses in the eastern and western wings and northern mountainous areas of our province has become an important content for the provincial party Committee and government to implement the "Ten Popular Projects".

Under this background, according to the deployment of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, the Communist Youth League Committee, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Finance and the Provincial Department of Personnel jointly implemented the volunteer service plan for college students in mountainous areas (hereinafter referred to as the "mountain plan") from September 2003, and recruited 100 college students to volunteer in mountainous rural areas of our province for a period of 1-2 years.

Serve the overall, coordinated and sustainable economic and social development in mountainous areas, and guide college students to make contributions to grassroots, mountainous areas and hard places, hone their will and increase their talents. In the past three years, * * * 250 college student volunteers (50 in 2003) went to mountainous counties in six cities including Shaoguan, Heyuan, Meizhou, Qingyuan, Jieyang and Shanwei, including 16 national key poverty alleviation and development counties.

Main work contents of mountain planning

1. Help the township youth league committee to strengthen the construction and work of grass-roots youth league organizations.

2, to promote the province's * * * organizations to participate in the poverty alleviation and development of poor villages in the township, the implementation and follow-up of the task of "planning household responsibility to people".

3. Efforts will be made to promote the "Chaoyang Action-Special Action of Guangdong Young Volunteers to Care for the Children of Migrant Workers".
