River Valley Hanjiang Highway Bridge and its wiring project started from Wangjialou in the east of laohekou city, connected with the reconstruction project of Xiangyang section of National Highway 3 16, passed through Sheng Qun Forest Farm, Gucheng Hanjiang National Wetland Park and Wujiaying, and ended at Wangjiawan in the north of Gucheng County, connected with Gucheng section of National Highway 31.675 km. Among them, the Valley Bridge is 4.797 kilometers long and designed as a two-way six-lane bridge.

Laohekou and Gucheng are separated by a river, and the linear distance is only about 10 km. Besides Xianrendu Bridge on Shixiang Expressway, Guanghua Bridge is the main passage between the two cities, but it takes nearly an hour to walk. After the completion of the bridge, the driving distance between the urban area of Laohekou and Gucheng was shortened to 10 minute.
