Northwest Hope: After you led Nantong Zhiyun to overtake, you suddenly resigned. What is the specific reason?

Cao Rui: Before I went to Nantong Zhiyun, my father was seriously hospitalized because of cerebral hemorrhage and lung infection, and he had to be transferred to another hospital every half month. My mother took care of him for a year and a half. Transfer is very troublesome, no more complicated than moving. I can't remember exactly how many times I turned it. In my spare time, I can only help contact the hospital and contact the transfer hospital. Now when I see my mother, she is very haggard and tired.

At the end of last year, my father was nucleic acid positive and had a high fever for seven days. Once, the doctor told me to get ready first. Finally, my father came down, the fever was gone, and people gradually returned to normal. My mother and I are very happy. Now the overall situation is relatively stable, but it still needs long-term hospitalization observation. After all these twists and turns, I want to be filial again, put down my work and spend more time with my father.

Northwest Hope: Did you ever give up when you suddenly left when you were creating the history of the team?

Cao Rui: It's my team members and staff. Many people sent me messages to say goodbye at the first time, and both local and foreign aid hope to have the opportunity to cooperate next time. There are also many fans and friends in Weibo who give me comments or personal messages. I am very touched.

Northwest Hope: Looking back on this journey, did you realize your original expectations?

Cao Rui: Yes, when I took over the team, Nantong ranked seventh and fifth at the end of the season, and I was one step away from it. In the second season, the team won the third place, two rounds ahead of schedule.

Northwest Hope: What do you think is the main reason for overtaking success?

Cao Rui: Let's work together. 202 1 August I had watched many Nantong games before I took over the team. I am familiar with several players in the team, many of whom are from Jiangsu team, so I know something about the team. Nantong is a good group of players. This team is not the strongest in the league, but it is United enough. Everyone is willing to sacrifice for the team. Only in this way can a team break out with stronger fighting capacity.

In the middle of last year's league match, Li Xiangbin's mother fell ill and was admitted to the intensive care unit. There is only his father at home, but his father is in poor health. There is also foreign aid Traore, who has a lot of injuries in the middle and late season and has to put a thick bandage on his knee before playing every time. Northwest Hope: At that time, taking over Nantong coincided with the public opinion storm after Xie Hui's class. You were under a lot of pressure when you became a coach, weren't you?

Cao Rui: To be honest, there must be a lot of pressure to take over the team after Xie Hui left. External comparisons are inevitable, especially since this is the first time I have led a team independently, and I am leading a team that is determined to overtake. The voice of criticism must exist, and I can understand it. This pressure is a spur to me and encourages me to work harder. Competitive sports is cruel and always speaks with results, so I will try my best to achieve my goals and will naturally calm these doubts.

Northwest Hope: What are the challenges after taking office?

Cao Rui: The biggest challenge is how to make players quickly understand their tactical intentions. There are twenty or thirty players in the team, and each player has to talk privately. It takes one or two hours for a person, and two or three days to fully understand. I want to know their family situation and personal characteristics, and the most important thing is technical and tactical exchanges. I want to get to know each other in the fastest way. There are only ten days left in the middle of the season.

At first, I didn't make any great changes to the team's tactics. Players soon got used to it, and what I finally kicked out met my expectations.

In addition, after learning that I was going to teach in Nantong, Ao Shuai chatted with me and shared some decompression tips for this position. Northwest hope: lead the team independently 1 year and a half, how do you position the relationship between the head coach and the players?

Cao Rui: The coach should be the big brother in the team. I hope to be closer to the players.

In training or competition on the field, I am the coach, and you must listen to the command. After the training competition, we can get along like friends, open our hearts to each other, have tea together and have a good talk.

Northwest Hope: What's your new understanding of the difference between a head coach and a teaching assistant?

Cao Rui: There is a big difference. The teaching assistant only needs to finish his work, which can be understood as an important screw. Just tighten this hole.

The head coach is the first person in charge of the team, and there is great pressure on overall planning. Nantong's goal at that time was to overtake, which required me not to make any mistakes.

For the head coach, my understanding is the manger role advocated by Europe. Not only your tactical ability, but also you need to know how to manage, how to knead the team together, let everyone think in one place and work hard for this team. This is the key for the team and coach to win.

Northwest Hope: Go back and grade the first coaching. How many points can you score for your business ability and management ability?

Cao Rui: I scored 80 points for my professional ability, and I still need to keep learning. There is a lot of room for optimization. In actual leadership, I have something that I can't control. For example, in the 23rd round against Qingdao Manatee, I mainly explained how to keep an eye on foreign aid Onuebu before the game, but in the 27th minute, I was equalized by a foreign aid header. Northwest hope: the new coach of the national football team may be released recently, and the Football Association aims at foreign coaches. Olaroiu is one of them. what do you think?

Cao Rui: Professionals in our football circle talked privately. He is recognized as the most suitable national football coach in the current circle.

First of all, he was successful in China, winning the first top professional league championship for Jiangsu team in 20 years. That season, according to the paper strength, Jiangsu team was not the strongest in the league, but Ao Shuai was the first coach who really changed the way Jiangsu played football.

Before he coached the team, Jiangsu's main style of play was long pass or defensive counterattack. In three years, he changed Jiangsu football. I remember when Ao Shuai first came to the team, he talked to the players one by one and said that you had the ability to play football and control the ball. The first step is to give players confidence, and the second step is to practice. In a year's time, Olara really did it. I thought it was incredible at the time. Jiangsu team has played football for 20 years, and this kind of opening and closing style of play was completely changed by him in one year. Secondly, he is familiar with China football. Olaroiu has a good relationship not only with the players of his own team, but also with the big-name players of other teams. Just like Hajime Moriyasu, the coach of Japan's national team, the Japanese Football Association can give him so much time to reform and correct his mistakes. Sometimes China football is too eager for quick success and needs to give more time to national teams. It's not like training and running every day in the club. Players and coaches can meet every day. If O 'Shuai Neng becomes the national football coach and invites me to help, I will certainly help.

Cao Rui: There are too few young coaches at the grassroots level, especially professional football coaches.

According to my observation in Jiangsu and Nanjing, this kind of talent resource is urgently needed and necessary if we want to really do well football in China. There are many children practicing the ball now, but there are not enough excellent guides.

If the child is in the enlightenment period, the football action he accepts is not standardized and correct, and it is difficult to change when he grows up. Some childhood memories will affect your life and are deeply rooted.

That's why I hope those retired players can take part in more youth training. Retired professional players, at least standardized, will not mislead children. However, at present, the income of grass-roots coaches is generally not high, so it is still difficult to do a good job in youth training. Similar to the track and field coach teaching children to play football, it needs a big problem. Can they teach well?
