The Historical Evolution of Oslo National Theatre
Oslo before 18 14 is not the capital in the strict sense. In fact, it is only the residence of the governor appointed by Denmark. After the defeat of Napoleon and the signing of the Kiel Treaty, Oslo, a sleepy "village" town, gradually woke up and became the real capital of Norway.

In terms of development and population, Oslo is a city that started late. More than 900 years ago, it was just a small commercial port with less than 3000 people in Oslo Fjord. Wooden houses of the same color are short and small, and only a few public buildings are built of stone. 18 In the 1980s and 1990s, the famous painter edvard munch painted Oslo as a city full of ghosts. Both men and women were dressed in black, with their brim pressed low and their faces pale. To monks, they are like "the living dead, walking from the winding path to the grave". This is Oslo in the past, a gloomy city, lacking the vitality of Copenhagen or Stockholm. Monk left here and moved to Berlin and Paris.
