The Historical Evolution of Chenzhao Town
The name of Chen Zhaozhen can be traced back to the Southern Song Dynasty. According to the place names recorded in Ruichang County Records, in the first year of Southern Song Dynasty, Chen You moved from Hubei Fruit Village (now Shangbao Village, Yang Gang Town, Yangxin County, Hubei Province) to the north gate of Ruichang Paradise, and the west side of Feng Fei Cave was cut, so his residence was named after Zhao Chen, hence the name "Zhao Chenkou". Zhao Chenkou was renamed "Eight Gates" by Xuanyi Langwei Gong Sheng during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, three provinces, Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi, set up detention centers here, and the name "Zhao Chen" was still used for good luck. In Qing Dynasty, Tongzhi Ruichang County Records was recorded as Honger Township.
