Mangrove landscape in Wenchang River
Wenchang Estuary is Bamenwan Mangrove National Wetland Park.

Bamenwan Mangrove Forest is located at the intersection of eight rivers, including Wenchang River, Wenjiao River and Hengshan River, in Wenchang City, Hainan Province. The mangroves in Bamen Bay radiate several kilometers to the upper reaches of rivers such as Wenchang River and Wenjiao River with the beach around the bay as the center. Its scope includes the area connecting the six towns of Wencheng, Qinglan, Touyuan, Dongge, Dong Jiao and Wenjiao with Bamenwan, covering an area of 30,000 mu. Bamenwan Mangrove and Dongzhaigang Mangrove are two famous mangrove landscapes in Hainan Province, which are known as marine forest parks and the lowest forests in the world.
