The researchers observed and recorded at least four cases in which seals pushed penguins to the ground and tried to mate with them. Every time, the seal chased the penguin and grabbed it, pressing on the penguin. Each "violence" lasts for two and a half to six minutes. After that, the seals will take a break and then engage in "sexual aggression", with an average sexual assault duration of five minutes. The "perpetrators" are all male seals, and the sex of the victim penguins is unknown. After three sexual assaults, the seal finally released the penguin, but after the remaining 1 violence, the seal hunted and swallowed the penguin.
