According to Baidu Encyclopedia, Du 'an Yao Autonomous County, which belongs to Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located on the transition slope from Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to Guangxi Basin, east of Duyang Mountain. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. This is one of the most typical karst landform areas in the country. The county is famous for its peculiar peaks and caves and karst landforms. It covers a total area of 4,095 square kilometers, governs 10 towns and 9 townships, and has 248 villagers' (community) committees. County People's Government is located in Anyang Town, 20 kilometers away from Nanning City and Hechi City/kloc-0.

In 2022, Du 'an County governed Anyang, Gaoling, Sudi, Xiaao, Lalie, Baiwang, Chengjiang, Daxing, Laren, Yong 'an 10, 9 townships of Dongsi, Long Fu, Baoan, Ban Ling, Sanzhiyang, Longwan, Jingsheng, Jia Gui and Jiudu, and 235 administrative villages.
