Kunming Heavy Machinery Factory was once a heavy machinery factory in China.
Kunming Heavy Machinery Factory once ranked first among the "eight small heavy industries" in China. In its heyday, Kunzhong won numerous awards: 1990 was promoted to the national second-class enterprise, 1994 was listed as the former national machinery industry bureau's technological progress 100 demonstration enterprise, and 1998 passed the IS090 1 quality system certification. At that time, the economic benefits of Kunzhong were good, the wages of workers were high, and a large number of Kunzhong people were raised. Therefore, it is called the first of the "eight small heavy industries" in China. Kunming Heavy Machinery Factory was established in 1958, but its history can be traced back to the last years of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, that is, Yunnan Longyun Bureau (later changed to Yunnan Mint Bureau) established in 1907 and General Administration of Persuasion established in 1908. After development and evolution, Yunnan Heavy Machinery Factory (predecessor of Kunming Heavy Machinery Factory) was merged and established, 1958.
