The ancient city wall was built in the fifth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (AD 1372). The city wall is an earth-rock brick structure, with a height of 20 feet, a thickness of 10 feet and a circumference of 642 feet. It is divided into five doors: east, south, small west, big west and north. In the 19th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1540), Chongshan County moved to Taiping Town. Zhiyuan has been the seat of a province, state, county, prefecture and municipality directly under the Central Government since the 29th year, with a history of 8 10.
Overview of scenic spots
Taiping Town, Chongzuo City is located in the middle reaches of Zuojiang River, across the north bank of Zuojiang River. Xiang-Gui Railway runs through Jiangnan city from east to southwest, Zuojiang enters from southwest, winds around the north and south of the city, and then winds around the northeast. In ancient times, there was a saying that Lishui was 40% folded and surrounded on three sides, which was shaped like a pot, hence the name Pot City. It refers to a yoked river bank on the right bank, surrounded on three sides by the Zuojiang River.
Since the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, people have built Hulu City according to the mountain shape and water potential. It carries the aura of the treasure gourd, and there is only one way to enter the city from the mouth of the gourd, and four gates are open by the river. In Hulu City, people live in compact communities with wealth and economic prosperity.
Gan Rulai, the magistrate of Taiping in Qing Dynasty, wrote a poem "Reading Huguan City": "Hucheng was built in the early Ming Dynasty, so it was named after the model. There is a 60% discount in Lijiang, such as Wai Qiguo. East, west and south, there is no danger of blocking the river. The two estuaries in the north of the city are the same as the land. " Taiping Town has a long history. In June of the 29th year of Yuan Shizu Zhiyuan (AD 1292), Taiping Road was set up. Taiping Road is located in Taiping Town, the urban area.
Zuojiang mural
Chongzuo Zuojiang mural is located on both sides of Zuojiang River from Shuangduiji Mountain to Longgou Mountain in Kongjia Village, Jiangzhou District, with a total length of 80 kilometers. There are 28 rock paintings, including Shuangduiji Mountain, Baituo Mountain and Chengshan Mountain of the Dynasty. These rock paintings are not only distributed on the cliffs on both sides of Zuojiang River, but also on the land several kilometers away from Zuojiang River.
Most of these murals are portraits of various postures, painted on cliffs, steep and difficult, from the early Warring States period to the Eastern Han Dynasty.
Among them, Bai Tuo Mountain mural is the most important. The murals here are made on a steep cliff about 100 meters southwest of Bai Tuo, about 50 meters north of Bai Tuo Street, 0/km northwest of Bai Tuo Xinjie/kloc-0, 0.75 km across Jiangxi River from Butuan Village, and the downstream is adjacent to Yinshan Cliff murals.
