What do primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry mean respectively?
In 2003, according to the Classification of National Economic Industries (GB/T 4754—2002), the National Bureau of Statistics issued the Notice of the National Bureau of Statistics on Printing and Distributing the Provisions on Three Industrial Divisions (Zi [2003] 14). In 20 12, according to the Classification of National Economy Industries (GB/T 4754—20 1 1) issued by AQSIQ and National Standards Committee, China Statistics Bureau revised the regulations of three industrial divisions in 2003 again.

Primary industry: mainly refers to industries that produce food and other biological materials, including planting, forestry, animal husbandry, aquaculture and other industries that directly target natural products.

Secondary industry: mainly refers to the processing and manufacturing industry that uses the basic materials provided by nature and the primary industry for processing.

Tertiary industry: refers to other industries other than the primary and secondary industries, with a wide range, mainly including intangible production departments such as transportation, communication, commerce, catering, finance, education and public services.
