The Historical Evolution of Wangtai Town
1946 belongs to Yanghe District, Jiaonan County, and 1949 was renamed Wangtai District. 1958 was renamed as township and commune, and 1976 Wangtai Commune was transferred to Xuejiazhuang Commune. 1984 was changed to Wangtai Town and Xuejiazhuang Township respectively. 1993, Xuejiazhuang Township was abolished and Huangshan Town was established. 1997, Wangtai Town covers an area of 85 square kilometers, with a coastal area of 4.5 kilometers and a population of 47,000.
