Where does Yanghe Daqu come from?
Yanghe Daqu is produced in Suqian City, Jiangsu Province.

Yanghe Daqu originated in Sui and Tang Dynasties and flourished in Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a history of 1300 years. Zou Ji, a poet in the Ming Dynasty, wrote in "The Fu of Baiyangdian": "Baiyangdian is full of spring water and there are many guests in Baiyangdian. In February, the wicker is new, but people are thousands of miles apart. Travelers communicate every year, and people live in Yanghe Music. " This truly reflects the influence of Yanghe liquor in Baiyang River Basin in Ming Dynasty.

The story of "Good Wine Plan" is a touching legend left by Shi Kefa, a patriotic general of Ming Dynasty. The story about Shi Kefa defeating the Qing soldiers with fine wine (Yanghe wine) has been widely circulated in northern Jiangsu and has always been a beautiful talk; "Ganquan makes purport wine, which is mellow and famous" —— Ren Mei Spring Legend and other history.

During the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, Yanghe Daqu was sold in the Jianghuai area, and it had the reputation of "Fuquan wine and sea are delicious and the taste ranks first in the south of the Yangtze River" and became a royal tribute of the Qing Dynasty. There has long been a folk saying that "the smell of wine soars into the sky, and the birds smell it and turn it into a phoenix;" The couplet "dregs fall to the ground and fish tastes like dragons" is about Yanghe wine.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the production of Yanghe Daqu was further developed. In the fourth year of the Republic of China (19 15), the liquor brewed by Sanyi Winery won the silver prize in the Panama Competition in San Francisco, USA, and in the eighteenth year of the Republic of China (1929), Daqu liquor from Yuchangyuan Winery won the second prize in the domestic product exhibition of the Industrial and Commercial Office.

In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), Yanghe had eight wineries with an annual output of 6,040 tons of liquor. It is famous for its Shuquan and Runquan wineries in Juyuanyong, Fengtai, Nanwangren and other towns.

In the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), Yanghe Daqu was exhibited in Jiangsu Province.

Before the liberation of Yanghe Daqu, it was dying because of years of war. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the government allocated special funds to establish the state-owned Yanghe Distillery on the basis of several private winemaking workshops.

It is used to build mud pits and form old pits.
