History:
The earliest ancient countries on the Korean peninsula are generally considered as "ancient Korea", which is subdivided into Tan Jun Korea, Jizi Korea and Weiman Korea. However, the records in Ancient Korea are mostly legends and confusing.
At the end of the 2nd century BC, Korea became hostile to the Western Han Dynasty. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sent servant Yang and Xun Kui to attack North Korea, and the right canal of North Korea was killed. Wang Xiancheng, the capital, was conquered by the Han army, and Korea in wei ren was destroyed. That was BC 108. Le Lang, Fan Zhen, Lintun and Xuantu counties were established in the Han Dynasty.
The period from 676 to 892 was the era of unified Silla in the history of the Korean Peninsula. At that time, the south-central part of the Korean peninsula south of the Datong River (Yongjiang River) was centered on Jincheng (now Gyeongju, South Korea) and was under the rule of Silla Dynasty. Rhoda in Jeju Island and Yushan in Ulleungdo Island are also the dependent countries of Silla.
In 9 18, Wang Jian, the head of the Gong clan, overthrew the Gong clan through a military coup, claiming the title of "Korea" with its capital in Song Yue (now Kaesong, Korea). In 935, Silla surrendered to North Korea. In 936, after North Korea was wiped out by Baekje, the south-central part of the Korean Peninsula was unified.
During this period, the Khitan nationality in the north of Korea rose, established a powerful Khitan Empire (Liao), and bordered North Korea during its expansion, which triggered the Khitan War in Korea.
After the end of the Khitan War in Korea, Korea entered a period of peaceful development and reached its peak in the middle of 1 1 century (Korean literacy period). 1 1 At the end of the century, the Jurchen nationality in northeast Korea rose, and North Korea was threatened, so it took the initiative to attack and was defeated.
1392, Koguryo abolished the king and Li Chenggui became king. The following year, Ming Taizu's imperial edict renamed Korea "Korea", known as the Korean dynasty in history.
The title of the Korean dynasty was given by Zhu Yuanzhang. "The country is in the East, and the morning sun shines first", hence the name Zhao Xian.
The Korean dynasty lasted until the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-894-1895. One of the treaties signed by the Qing Dynasty in Japan was that the Qing Dynasty gave up its suzerainty over Korea.
Then the Korean dynasty was renamed the Korean Empire, and korean king proclaimed himself emperor. It didn't take long (12) to be completely annexed by Japan. After the annexation, it was renamed Korea by Japan.

Division and civil war
1945 Japan surrendered and was taken over by the Soviet red army and the American army respectively, with the boundary of 38 degrees north latitude. The American military and political departments were established in the south of the 38th parallel, while the Soviet military government ruled in the north.
1947 In February, Kim Il Sung established the Korean People's Committee, the first independent proletarian regime on the Korean Peninsula, and Kim Il Sung was elected as its chairman. On the other hand, Li Chengwan, the first president of the Republic of Korea, returned to the Korean peninsula after Japanese surrender, and launched an anti-trusteeship movement as the leader of the right-wing forces, advocating southern independence.
1In the autumn of 947, the United States raised the issue of the Korean Peninsula at the United Nations, and the United Nations passed a resolution demanding that free elections be held on the Korean Peninsula. After the government was elected, the occupying forces withdrew.
1948, the election was held only in the south. According to the election results, the Republic of Korea was proclaimed on August 65, 2005, and Li Chengwan was elected president with the support of the United States. North Korea responded quickly. On September 9, with the support of the Soviet Union, Kim Il Sung announced the establishment of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
1950 In June, with the support of the Soviet Union, Kim Il Sung's troops launched the Korean War against the government of the Republic of Korea. The Korean People's Army just started to win all the way and suppressed the South Korean army to Busan, so the United Nations troops led by the United States landed in Incheon, and the Korean People's Army was forced to retreat and was suppressed by the US military to the Yalu River.
At this time, People's Republic of China (PRC) (PRC) negotiated with the Soviet Union and intervened. June+10/October 65438+September, Chinese people's Volunteer Army crossed the Yalu River to help North Korea wage war against the south.
After repeated tug-of-war, the two sides finally decided on July 27th, 1953, with the temporary dividing line (the 38th parallel) as the boundary, the "Chinese people's Volunteer Army-Korean People's Army Allied Forces" signed an armistice agreement with the "United Nations Army" led by the United States, and the United Nations appointed Switzerland and Sweden, permanent neutrals, to station troops in the joint security area to monitor the military actions of the two countries on the border.
1After the armistice agreement was signed in Panmunjom on July 27th, 953, small-scale conflicts occurred from time to time between the two sides, and the social and economic development was also quite different. So far (20 19), they are still in a state of division.
