Historical Evolution of Huancui District
Huancui District, although people lived and lived here in the middle and late Neolithic Age more than 7,000 years ago, became an independent building area, which started from ahava and was established in 1398.

In the thirty-first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1398), in order to strengthen the coastal defense and prevent the invasion of the Japanese, the Ming government took the meaning of "a sublime sea border" and "analyzed the establishment of Ahava in Xinwangdu, Wendeng County", and sent troops to guard against the Japanese, commanding the left, front and back three places before Ahava came. In the 13th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1735), Ahava was abolished and merged into Wendeng County, and Wei was assigned to Lisan, the new capital of Wendeng County. In the 24th year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty (1898), Ahava and Liu Gongdao were forcibly occupied by Britain.

1930 (in the 19th year of the Republic of China), the National Government recovered Ahava and established the Ahava Administrative Office, which was subordinate to the Executive Yuan of the National Government. 1August, 945, after the liberation of Ahava, Ahava City was established, which was under the jurisdiction of Jiaodong Administrative Office.

1948 was changed to a county-level city in March, and it belongs to the East China Sea Special Zone.

1March, 950, urban and rural areas were divided, and the southern half of Gangxi District, Qiaotou District, Caomiaozi District, Gushan District, LAM Raymond District, Yang Ting District and Likoushan, which originally belonged to Ahava City, were respectively assigned to Rongcheng, Wendeng and Kunyu counties.

1950 was changed to weihai county in may, belonging to Wendeng district.

1956, classified as Laiyang Special Zone. In June and September of the same year, Yang Ting, Gangtou, Beiguan, Likou, Shuangdao, Zaohe (Zhangjiazao), Laihai, LAM Raymond, Tiandong, Yangjiatan, Changfeng, Hebei, Wangdao, Laoji, Zaobu, Haibu and Wiki in Wendeng County were successively launched.

In July, 1958, some small towns in Wendeng County and Wenquan Township were incorporated into Weihai City. In June, 10, Shiling, Caomiaozi, Wenquan People's Commune in Wendeng County and Qiaotou and Boyujia People's Commune in Rongcheng County were incorporated into Weihai City. On August 27th 1996, the organizational system of Tiancun Sub-district Office was placed under the high-tech zone, and Liu Gongdao Sub-district Office was placed under the direct jurisdiction of the municipal government.

On May 12, 2003, Chucun Town was designated as a high-tech zone, and Gushan Town and Apollo Town were designated as economic zones.

On April 2, 2008, KLOC-0, Caomiaozi Town was placed under the jurisdiction of Weihai New Industrial Zone.
