Qinhuangdao is located in Hebei Province in the north of China. There is a seismic belt in this area called "Tancheng-Yingkou seismic belt", but this seismic belt does not directly pass through Qinhuangdao area. In addition, the sea near Qinhuangdao is shallow enough to trigger a tsunami. Therefore, from a historical and geographical point of view, the possibility of earthquakes and tsunamis in Qinhuangdao is low.
However, this does not mean that Qinhuangdao has no risk of earthquake and tsunami. The occurrence of earthquakes and tsunamis is determined by many factors, including geological structure and marine environment. Therefore, Qinhuangdao also needs to strengthen the prevention of earthquakes and tsunamis to ensure the safety of local residents' lives and property.
