Inheritance and development of Haiyan Saozi
Records such as China Quyi Zhi, Zhejiang Juan and Jiaxing Cultural Zhi included Haiyan Saozi as an entry, which filled the blank of China Quyi varieties. Since 1996, literary and art workers in Haiyan county have created many literary and artistic works with the spirit of the times by using the art form of Sao Zi, some of which won prizes in provincial and municipal performances. Since 1996, the first Haiyan Nanbei Lake Sightseeing and Tourism Festival was held, the artistic performance of Saozi has become a regular program of the tourism festival, and combined with the tourism economy, it has built a performance platform for economic construction, which not only added new cultural highlights to the local tourism industry, but also showed the original charm of this ancient art. TV media such as Zhejiang Satellite TV and various media such as China Culture News and Zhejiang Daily reported it in succession, giving high praise to Haiyan Saozi.

At the beginning of 2005, Xiangyang Primary School actively developed the school-based curriculum resources of local music, inherited the local culture, and carried out the research on the musical characteristics of the local art series of "Children's Singing Sao Zi Song". This topic has been approved by the leading group of provincial education science planning as a provincial topic in 2005. With the development of research, the school organizes students to learn the art of Haiyan Saozi rap, so that students can fully understand the origin, history, development prospects and educational functions of Haiyan Saozi art, stimulate students' beautiful feelings of loving their hometown culture, and make it possible to inherit and develop Haiyan Saozi art.

On June 24th, 2005 and May 24th, 2005, respectively, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Provincial People's Government issued a document, which listed Haiyan Saozi as a provincial national folk art protection project pilot and the first batch of Zhejiang intangible cultural heritage representative list.
