Fanzi Building, also called Kefan Building (Fanzi used to be a derogatory term for Nanyang people in southern Fujian), is a kind of southern Fujian (represented by Quanzhou) residential building with a combination of Chinese and western styles, and it is also a name for foreign buildings in southern Fujian. Fanzilou was mostly built by overseas Chinese in South Fujian and Southeast Asia during the Republic of China. It is quite different from the traditional ancient houses in southern Fujian. It combines the characteristics of traditional ancient houses in southern Fujian and Nanyang architecture, and its craftsmanship is exquisite. It is an important architectural culture in the hometown of overseas Chinese in southern Fujian.
At present, Yongning ancient town has left many early Fanzi buildings, with unique collision between Chinese and western cultures, carved beams and painted buildings, which are absolutely exquisite. Even though the years are scarred, these towering Fanzilou are quietly watching the wind and rain here, witnessing the prosperity and affection of generations. These buildings bear the ups and downs of our ancestors' past. Even if people leave these buildings, we can still get a glimpse of the past glory and prosperity here. In today's busy society, we need a leisurely and peaceful indifference to abandon the hustle and bustle.
2, red brick CuO
We Minnan people call the house "CuO", red brick. It is magnificent, colorful, unobtrusive and dignified. Red Brick CuO absorbs China traditional culture and Minnan local marine culture, and is an important part of Minnan cultural system. Red brick buildings can be seen everywhere in southern Fujian, which is the representative work of southern Fujian culture. Red walls and gray tiles are warm and unrestrained, but they are low-key and forbearing. The dovetail ridges and auspicious totems on the roof are lifelike, and the pursuit of a better life in southern Fujian has not stopped.
3. Temples
In the streets of Yongning, large and small temples can be seen everywhere, and various gods bless thousands of believers. As a native of southern Fujian, whenever I meet a temple, I will come forward to worship devoutly, put my hands together or make a column of incense, talk to the gods and pray for their blessing. I have always believed that it is blessed to have worship, which is why we Minnan people have always had a fear of the gods.
4. Old Street
Before the reform and opening up, the merchants in Yongning Old Street were prosperous, and it has always been a commercial gathering place in Yongning, with vegetable markets, post offices, banks, supply and marketing cooperatives, small workshops and daily necessities. There are still many residents living in the old street, drying goods, washing vegetables and clothes, chatting and chatting, and living a comfortable and peaceful life here. Those visible lives and invisible inner thoughts have left a series of historical footprints in Yongning ancient town.
5. Yongning Temple
Built in the forty-five years of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty. There is a wide square in the west of Nanguan Village, and three quadrangle-style gates are arranged in the north from east to west. This is the Longwang Temple and Guandi Temple complex, which was renamed Yongning Temple after renovation in 20 13 years. There are murals, painted figures and flowers in the temple, which are clearly identifiable.
