The origin of Liaocheng
Liaocheng was named after the ancient Liaohe River (once called Liaoguo in the Spring and Autumn Period). It was called Dongchangfu in Ming Dynasty. 19 12 years, the abandoned government in Shandong province set up a road with the border of Jixi Road. 19 14 changed to east road, 1949 changed to Liaocheng area in August, and 1967 changed to Liaocheng area.

Liaocheng is a national historical and cultural city, a hot spring city in China, and a model city with double support. It is called Venice in northern China and belongs to Shandong Province.

Liaocheng is bordered by Zhang Wei in the west, Jindi River and Yellow River in the south and southeast, Jining City, Tai 'an City, Jinan City and Henan Province, Dezhou City in the north and northeast, and there are scenic spots such as dongchang lake and Guangyuelou.

Liaocheng is located in temperate monsoon climate zone, with obvious seasonal changes and monsoon climate characteristics, and belongs to semi-arid continental climate. Spring is dry and windy, with quick recovery, abundant sunshine and strong radiation; It is wet and rainy in summer, and the rain and heat are synchronized; In autumn, the weather is crisp, the temperature drops rapidly and the radiation weakens; Winter is cold and dry, rain and snow are scarce, and cold currents often attack. The basic climatic characteristics of the four seasons can be summarized as dry and windy in spring, hot and rainy in summer, dry in late autumn and dry and cold in winter.
