Fuping moyu has been mined since Qin and Han Dynasties. According to the county records, "ore is produced in the north of the county, and miners in various counties can carve and ponder, so people call it black jade", which is also a famous "hometown of stone carving" in China. Fuping Moyu and his works also have a glorious history in the history of Chinese civilization. Anbeilin, known as the largest treasure house of stone carving art in China, has more than l700 existing cultural relics, of which more than 80% are made by Fuping Moyu, including Qin Lisi's Yi Mountain Stone Carving, Cao Quanbei by Heyang in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Huangfushengchen Monument by Ou Yangxun, and many pagodas by Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan.
Qinchuan, 800 miles in central Shaanxi, is known as the "Open-air Stone Carving Art Museum". A large sculpture group, a large number of stone carvings, statues and horse nails, from Qiaoling 15 meters high and 40 tons of huabiao to the mysterious wordless tablet in front of Ganling, and the national treasure "Six Horses in Zhaoling", are all made by Fuping Moyu.
