The scale development of Hongfeng Lake area has a history of more than 600 years. As early as the 23rd year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1390), under the command of General Jiao Qin, in the middle reaches of maotiaohe today, more than 10,000 Ming troops who fought with Li in Yunnan established Wei Qing Wei and implemented military camps. Today, Zhong Yi, Bazhong, Second from the right, Seventh from the right, Fifth from the right, Sixth from the right, Fort Liuguan, Fort Chen Liang, Fort Longjing and other places in Hongfenghu Town are all garrisons of the Tun Army. The army's "three-point garrison and seven-point reclamation" opened the prelude to the development of this hot land agriculture. Later, through the hard work of farmers in past dynasties, this desert virgin land was built into the "granary" of Qingzhen.

1958, Hongfeng Lake was completed, and 1 8,000 residents of nearly 100 villages in Hongfeng Lake flooded area gave them more than 70,000 mu of fertile farmland and woodland gardens and more than110,000 houses they had managed for generations. They moved from different places, or moved to higher places on the spot, struggling to start a business. What a heroic and admirable move. For decades, with the support of the state and the leadership of local party committees and governments, they have lived in harmony with residents who have not moved, United and helped each other, developed production and built their homes. After a period of poverty, they lived with Hongfeng Lake, lived in peace and contentment, and lived a well-off life.

19911February, qingzhen city implemented the construction of towns and the withdrawal of towns, and merged Dongmenqiao Buyi Township, Zhongbamiao Township, Bobo Township, Daxing Township and Chengguan Town under the former Chengguan District into Hongfenghu Town. In June, 2003, the urban area, Dongmenqiao and Daxing District with good social and economic conditions were set aside, and Qinglong Sub-district Office was newly established. Hongfenghu Town has shrunk in scale and its comprehensive strength has weakened, but its economy has sustained, healthy and stable growth. In 2006, the GDP reached 490 million yuan, of which the proportion of primary, secondary and tertiary industries was 14: 57: 29. The total fiscal revenue was 5.3277 million yuan, the local fiscal revenue was 3.062 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers increased by 140 yuan, reaching 3 145 yuan.

Hongfeng Lake Scenic Area 198 1 was established, 1987 was approved by Guizhou Provincial People's Government, and 1988 was approved by the State Council as the second batch of national key scenic spots.
