Guan zhong (? ~ 645 BC) was a famous politician and philosopher of Qi in the early Spring and Autumn Period. Politically, the system of participating in and discussing state affairs and despising the state is implemented, military organizations at all levels are set up throughout the country, and it is stipulated that scholars, peasants, industry and commerce go their own way; Economically, he reformed the tax system, collected taxes reasonably, reduced the burden on farmers, used state power to develop the salt and iron industry and increased fiscal revenue; Militarily, he developed civilian armed forces and unified military and political leadership; In diplomacy, he adopted the strategy of "respecting the king and rejecting foreign countries" and gained the initiative in diplomacy. Qi was in power for three years, and its national strength was unprecedentedly strong, making it a well-deserved leader of the Spring and Autumn Five Overlords. Therefore, he became one of the most famous political reformers in the history of China.
