Yan's surname did not enter the top 100 in Taiwan Province province. Yan surname comes from Ji surname and Zi surname. After Zhou Wuwang and Ji Fa defeated the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, they were enfeoffed by various governors. At that time, a nobleman named Bo Shu was sent to Yan Di (now Yanjin County, Henan Province) and established the State of Yan.
