Tongji hospital, affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, was founded in Shanghai in 1900 by German doctor Baolong, and moved to Wuhan with Tongji Medical College in Shanghai in 1955. Now it is affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. It is a modern comprehensive third-class first-class hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and training. Tongji Medical College is divided into three hospitals: Hankou General Hospital is located in Jiefang Avenue in Hankou, Sino-French New City is located in Sino-French Ecological Demonstration City in caidian district, and Optics Valley Hospital is located in Gaoxin Avenue in Optics Valley. Tongji Hankou and Sino-French New Town are two different campuses, but both belong to Wuhan tongji hospital. One is the general hospital and the other is the branch. The quality of experts and medical services in Sino-French New Town Branch is as good as that in general hospitals.
