Chahar administrative history
In the Qing Dynasty, it was not a province, but it was called "Bird Special Zone".

In the second year of the Republic of China (19 13), Chahar was changed to Chahar Special Zone, with six counties 1 1, namely Zhangbei, Duolun, Guyuan, Shangdu, Changbao, Kangbao, Xinghe, Taolin, Jining, Fengzhen and Lianglin.

1928 became a province. Xinghe, Taolin, Jining, Fengzhen and Liangcheng are included in Suiyuan Province, and the following counties 10 are included from Xuanhua House of Koubei Road in Hebei Province: Xuanhua, Chicheng, Wanquan, Huailai, Yuxian, Yangyuan, Longguan, Yanqing, Huai 'an and Zhuolu.

1933 On May 26th, Feng Yuxiang and Ji Hongchang established the Chahar People's Anti-Japanese Alliance in Zhangjiakou.

From 1937 to 1945, Chahar province was occupied by Japan and became a part of the Japanese-controlled Mongolian region under the leadership of Demciuc Dunlop.

After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), the administrative divisions were readjusted, and Yanbei area in northern Shaanxi and Datong city were merged into Chahar province. 1952, Chahar Province was abandoned, and now it is mainly located in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hebei Province, Shanxi Province, and Yanqing County is transferred to Beijing.
