Americans are skeptical about North Korea. They think North Korea is a dark position, and they want to use the Winter Olympics to achieve one of their goals. Obviously, the United States does not trust North Korea.

For South Korea, the United States is afraid that South Korea will get out of control. North Korea used the "national reconciliation card" to hold South Korea tightly and put the United States aside. This makes the United States feel that the relationship between South Korea and North Korea is too close, and then the United States will change from a leader to a bystander. This is of course what it doesn't want to see.

But in fact, the improvement of the relationship between the two sides has indeed made the United States feel certain significance. So the United States is now in a ambivalent mood.
