The Wild Goose Pagoda, located in Shenxian County, was built in the first year of Zhiping in the Southern Song Dynasty (A.D. 1064). It is a pavilion-style 13-story octagonal brick tower. The ground floor is 23 meters long from east to west, 22 meters long from north to south and 40 meters high. There are four doors in the tower. You can climb to the top by entering the north gate, and there is a statue of the goddess in the south gate. There are five Northern Song Dynasty engravings of Lianhua Jing, one Dalagni Jing, and an exquisite small silver tower with a sarcophagus in it. The small silver tower is made of silver, which is beautiful and exquisite. There is water in the stone envelope, a silver boat floats on the water, and there is a relic in the water. The magnificent Wild Goose Pagoda was used as a military observation platform in history.
1968 was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. The main project under reconstruction has been completed and is being renovated.
Ancient pagoda sites: There are three ancient pagoda sites in Shenxian County.
(1) Fairy Pagoda: Also known as Pagoda and Wild Goose Pagoda. Located in the northwest corner of the city, in the courtyard of this cultural center. It was built in the second year of Jin Dynasty (1 139) and demolished in the spring of the first year of Northern Song Dynasty (1064). According to the old records, the east-west width of this tower is 14, the north-south length is 13 and the height is 13. There is a copper cage with more than 20 people on the top, which is expected to be 70 miles. It has played an important role in "defending the city and not fighting". "Those who stare at the gas are called proper family names." During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, after several renovations, the Yi people also "gave" it, and regarded it as the pride of Shenxian County and a symbol of Shencheng. 1944 when the city was liberated, the tower, as the highest point of the city, was first occupied by our army. According to Zhao Xianru, an old teacher, the bottom of the tower covers an area of 533 square meters and is 48.6 meters high. There are four doors on each floor, and the top looks at dozens of miles, which has the feeling of "hands can pick stars". There is an ancient temple under the tower, and there is a stone statue of the goddess in the temple, named Da Shi, commonly known as "Grandma Shi". People in the new city area are used to climbing the tower on the 16th day of the first month and catching the temple fair on October 18th. 1928 Breaking superstition and tearing down the temple, the ancient temple no longer exists. 1968, the tower was demolished on the grounds that it was "unsafe", and five northern song dynasty engravings of Lianhua Jing, 1 Ministry manuscripts of Dalagni Jing, 1 small silver tower and 1 stone letter were demolished. There is a relic in the letter with a silver boat floating on it. The silver tower is a sheet metal process, which is exquisite and breathtaking. The Scriptures and the Silver Pagoda are in the Shandong Provincial Museum and the Stone han cun County Cultural Relics Room. 198 1 year and 1982 spoke highly of its historical, scientific and artistic value. In the mid-1980s, the county leaders and cultural departments proposed reconstruction, but it was shelved due to financial problems. Today, people are still eagerly looking forward to the reappearance of the stupa in memory and changing the defect that there are no historical sites in Guzhou County. During the period of 1995, Li Donglan, deputy county magistrate, called relevant people to reconsider the repair of the tower, which received much attention and support. Although it is not easy to build a tower, the spirit is good.
(2) Ancient pagoda: also known as Chaocheng pagoda, pagoda and wild goose pagoda. Located in Guo Si, Chaocheng Ning (formerly Chaocheng Health Center), it was built in the fourth year of Tang Zhenyuan (AD 788) with a grade of seven. "Welcome Smoke Tower" is one of the "eight scenic spots" in Chaocheng County. The tower does not exist today, and the ancient poem says: "The seven-step vertical ladder flies in the air, and the solitary column looks at the sky." The onion cage is connected with the stage, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is the first topic.
(3) Pagoda: Located in the courtyard of xingguo temple (now Pagoda Temple Grain Depot) in Chaocheng County. Towers and temples were built in the Jin Dynasty. The tower foundation covers an area of 250 square meters and is 50 meters high. There are large and small stone boxes in the tower, which contain Buddha bones and relics respectively. There are dozens of temples in the north of Taba, and there are tens of thousands of acres of temple fields outside the temple. During the reign of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, the tower was destroyed by half. By the 1940s, both the tower and the temple were destroyed. According to research, the temple was originally a famous temple with hundreds of monks, which influenced Fiona Fang for hundreds of miles. The inscription in the temple.
