Tianjia history
After enjoying the scenery of Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie, we had a Tujia New Year's Eve dinner. The next day, we came to the famous Tianjia Courtyard in Zhangjiajie. Visiting this compound is out of my itinerary. It was a gift from the tour guide, but it left a very deep impression on me.

As we all know, most people living in Zhangjiajie are Tujia, Miao and other ethnic minorities, and we Han people are equivalent to ethnic minorities here. So the most powerful people in this land are some local toasts. Xiangxi is a place where bandits often appear in history, and wars often occur among all ethnic groups and ministries.

During the reign of Renzong in the Northern Song Dynasty, the imperial court sent Tian Chengman, an imperial envoy, to take charge of all the chieftains in the southwest, set up the chieftain palace and built this family courtyard, which has a history of nearly a thousand years. It is said that it was more than 400 years earlier than the Forbidden City. During the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, Tian Qiyuan, a descendant of Tianjia and the richest local man, spent huge sums of money to repair and expand the former site of Tianjia Courtyard and became the first residence of Tujia people in western Hunan. Here is the legendary story of Tian Mingmen.

It was not until 2003 that this ancient courtyard with a thousand years of dust was unveiled. As a tourist attraction, it is known by the world as the "Millennium Earth Palace, which treasures the essence of Tujia history and culture".

Although Tianjia Courtyard manages all Tujia people in Southwest China, Tianjia is a Han nationality. In this ancient courtyard, the Tian family carried forward the traditional culture of China in this remote western Hunan. It is a model of traditional education in China.

For thousands of years, Tian Jia has been following the ancestral motto of "Poems and Books are left behind, and filial piety is passed down to the next generation", and has trained more than 800 scholars, scholars and senior officials above Grade 4 among the descendants of Tian Jia. They all say that "three generations are not rich", but Tian Jia has interpreted the legend of a thousand-year-old family. This has a lot to do with the inheritance of Confucian culture from generation to generation, the infinite extension of Taoist and Feng Shui culture, and the persistent emphasis of each generation of Tianjia leaders on reading, education, integrity and kindness.

There is a "Tianmen Academy" (formerly known as Bauhinia Academy or Egret Martial Arts School) in Tianjia Courtyard, from which three "prime ministers" (Tian Chengman, Xiong Xiling,), two revolutionaries (Song and Lin), a literary giant (Shen Congwen), a hero Du (North-South hero) and a scientist Tian Qijuan (academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences) have emerged. They are all studying or teaching here.

When we sat on the desks and chairs where the great men sat under the guidance of the tour guide, time seemed to pass at once, as if the young prime ministers were all studying here, and their chests were full of ideals to save the world and the country. I suddenly feel that people cultivated in such a cultural environment will become elites or outstanding people in their respective fields, even if they can't become great people handed down from generation to generation.

"Meng Mu's Three Movements" is to give children a good learning environment and atmosphere, because "near Zhu Zhechi, near Mexico is black", under the influence of thousands of years of Confucian culture in Tianjia, under the influence of so many celebrities and scholars, in the advanced culture that they are exposed to every day and in a lot of reading and learning, a person will definitely have a thoroughly remoulded change!

So now many parents would rather spend a lot of money to send their children to the best schools and receive the best education. Now it seems that they have inherited the fine traditions of the ancients. When a child has seen the world and been exposed to great ideas, he will not care about trivial things, but will focus on greater ideals. This may be the subtle influence.

While I was wandering between ancient and modern times, the tour guide said, guess which seat Premier Zhu Rongji took for three years? Everyone looked around curiously and kept guessing. At this time, the tour guide pointed to the single desk where I was sitting and said, this is the desk.

Wow, at that time, everyone looked at me with envy and said that I was really a blessed person! I am also very happy in my heart. I've always been lucky. I hope I can also get the light of great men this time and bring me more good luck.

Of course, Tianjia Courtyard has not only produced many excellent students and teachers, but also is a treasure trove of geomantic omen. Known as the "living fossil" of Tujia architecture and folk customs. It has three halls, four patios, four walls, south to north, east-west symmetry, rigorous layout, brick and wood structure, one integrated mass. Its lighting and ventilation mode of "eight skylights and seven stars shining" can be called the swan song of world architecture! This is an architectural miracle.

In addition, Tianjia Courtyard also collects a wide variety of ceramics, ancient beds, bronzes, silverware, linen, calligraphy and painting. Among them, 14370 pieces are valuable in the field of collection, with a value of 10 billion yuan.

In addition, there are still many unsolved mysteries in Tianjia Courtyard, such as: five falling beds that are not bad for thousands of years, turtles that know the sky and the earth, slates that can predict the future, and invulnerable living people. ...

It is said that the Tian Family Courtyard is as famous as the Qiao Family Courtyard. This courtyard of Tujia architecture with a history of thousands of years, the treasures handed down all over the courtyard, the unique Tujia culture and customs, and the eternal swan song "Xiangxi Ancient Music" are all amazing.
