Chen Pu, a famous astronomer, philosopher and educator, was born here. Chen Pu, whose real name is Suntech, was born in the fourth year of Song Chunyou (AD 1244- 1328). He gave lectures in Jianyang Trang Van Academy, Jianyang Aofeng Academy and Pu Zhongwu Xuan Academy all his life, and trained a large number of scientific talents. In the 14th year of Jiajing (A.D. 1535), Ningde County ordered Ye Chou to build the Chen Pu Temple in memory of Chen Pu and dedicate it to statues. The natural landscape includes Eight Scenes of Stone Hall written by Han Xin, a famous writer in Yuan Dynasty.
Wenfeng Village is located on the west side of Zhiti Mountain, bordering Huotong, and is an administrative village under the western mountain range of Huoshan Mountain. It was once called Garden State in the Tang Dynasty, and it was called Shitang from the beginning of the Tang Dynasty until the 32nd year of the Republic of China, and it has been a thousand years. In the early Shitang period, there were 36 villages including Chen, Lin, Huang, Zeng, Peng, Xia, Lu and Ye. Except for the populations of Huang, Lin, Peng, Lan, Lei and Ye, Xia Cun, Chen Jiagan, Zeng CuO and other places still retain the names of these place names. The reason why Shitang is Shitang is mainly because Shitang is a small basin with nearly 30 square kilometers, surrounded by mountains and many rocks. The mountains are peculiar (Laughing Lion Peak in the north, Gaby Peak in the east, Zhanqi Peak in the south, Huang Baifeng Mountain in the west and Cuiping Peak in the middle). There is a small mountain range in the middle of the basin from east to west, which is divided into Meihe Village in the south of the mountain.
According to the Records of Ningde County, "Shitang is a scene of Zhongshan and Tangshan in Ming and Qing Dynasties". By the time of the Republic of China, the administrative divisions of Ningde had changed several times: in May of the 23rd year of the Republic of China (A.D. 1934), the county was divided into five districts; in the 27th year of the Republic of China, Shitang was under the jurisdiction of Yangzhong District; in the 32nd year of the Republic of China (A.D. 1943), the county was merged into a town and village, and the Tiger Shell set up Shangxi Town and Township Office. The name of Wenfeng Village is mainly named after "Wenfeng Bi Zhuo" in Eight Scenes of Shitang written by Bijiashan Peak in the east of Wenfeng and Han Xin. In a broad sense, Shitang should include six administrative villages in a small watershed, namely Wenfeng Village, Fushan Village (from Wenfeng Village), Meihe Village, Nanling Village (from Meihe Village), Chalu Village and Huangbai Village, while in a narrow sense, Shitang should also include Wenfeng Village and Meihe Village.
