In the third year of Ming Dynasty (1569), Qin Long was located in Yong 'an County and belonged to Huizhou Prefecture.
In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), it belonged to the viceroy of Guangdong. In the third year of the Republic of China, Yong 'an County was changed to Zijin County, which belongs to Chaoshun Road. 15 years, belonging to Dongjiang administrative office. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, peasant miners in two counties revolted continuously, among which the uprising of miners in Qitoushan, Qingxi lasted for more than 20 years, covering Xingning, Changle, Chengxiang (now Meixian), Jieyang, Heyuan, Longchuan, Boluo, Haifeng, Guishan and Dongguan, all bounded by Guishan County, Kuandidu and Qinjiangdu in Changle County.
The provincial and state governments have carried out many expropriations for this purpose, but due to the vast territory and numerous mountains and rivers, it is easy to gather and disperse, and no obvious results have been seen.

In order to ensure peace, in the third year of Qin Long in the Ming Dynasty (1569), the court approved the partition of the ancient capital (Qiuxiang River Basin), Kuandedu (Baipu River and Yi Rong River Basin) and Qinjiangdu (Qinjiang River Basin) of Changle County, and established Yong 'an County, which means the land of Yong 'an, with long-term stability.
Take Anmin Town (now Zicheng Town), which was called Wushiyue in ancient times, as the county governance and build the county seat.

In 2002, Zijin County governed 23 towns (Zicheng, Zhongba, Longwo, Jiuhe, Shangyi, Lantang, Feng 'an, Yi Rong, Guzhu, Linjiang, Baipu, Tanghuang, Jingzi, Wushi, Shuidun, Yangtou, Nanling, Soviet Area, Jiushu, Waxi, Fucheng, Yi Hao and Qingshi).

In July and August of 2003, Jiushu, Qingxi and Yangtou merged one after another.
Among them, Guantian Village of Jiushu Town was merged into Longwo Town, Jiuhe Town was merged into Nanshang Village, 7 villages including Gongkeng, Hongtian, Liubu, Jiaokeng, Chagang and Hong Guang were merged into Waxi Town, Yangtou Town was merged into Longwo Town, and Qingxi Town (including Baoshan Village) was merged into Yirong Town.
The number of villages, neighborhood committees and natural villages remains unchanged.
